Happy Passover and Happy Easter

With the overwhelming majority of the U.S. population, and a good chunk of the rest of the world under virtual house arrest during this Coronavisrus thing, it may seem weird to wish happy anything to anyone, but I do.

It really ticked me off that (the socialist from Argentina) Pope Francis suggested this pandemic is God’s wrath, implying that we all sort of deserved it.  I don’t care how pious you are, Francis, the world deserves nothing of the sort, you doddering fool.  Sit this one out.

The Green New Deal types are gloating that the use of fossil fuels is way down during this pandemic, and thinks the pandemic is a great thing, because it will save the planet.  Maybe, just maybe, it’s because we’re practically under house arrest, and it’s Spring, so we don’t need as much fuel oil or natural gas to heat our houses as we did a month ago, in the northern hemisphere.

Now, let’s get back to work!  No, we do not need to carry official government issued documents to verify that we are virus-free in order to get back to work.  We’ve already had more than enough of our constitutional rights and freedoms taken away by governors and mayors, in the name of “public safety.”  There’s never a sunset clause on these power grabs, so once gone, those civil liberties rarely return.  FDR was the worst at violating the COTUS, but Bush Jr. did something similar (w/o the internment camps) after 9/11 with the Patriot Act, and formation of the TSA.  Big Brother is definitely watching, and it’s not settling well with Americans.  Our dislike of domestic spying and authoritarian government dates back before the Revolutionary War.

Anyway, try to have a Happy Passover, or Happy Easter, as the case may be.
