It does. Really, it does.
Too big is not good, and too small hurts.
I’m talking about cowboy boots. What did you think I was talking about? Shame on you.
Normally, I have to order half a size up to get the width I need in a boot, if I can’t get them in a C. Now, if we’re talking about clogs, then I just get them in my usual size. Boots are a little different. Justins fit my feet well, and seem true to size, but Luccheses run a little small. Oddly, Lucchese’s Charlie 1 Horse line fit like Justins.
If I get a sweet pair of Luccheses in my normal size, I have to wear them with thin socks. The same size in a Justin means normal socks. Half a size up in Luccheses, same deal, but a whole size up means that I need to wear them with super thick hunting socks. I can deal with that.
Only god knows what size footwear would fit me in a pump. The last time I had to wear shoes like that was a long time ago, in a different time and place. The only footwear I bother with nowadays are: cowboy boots, ballet flats, moccasins, and clogs. Why? Because all of the aforementioned are comfy. Period.
Okay, so I sucked you in with the entry’s title, didn’t I? LOL.
