I bought tickets to see BoDeans at a local winery. It’s a small venue. The most they can seat is 200. We saw Al Stewart there a few years ago, and we can get tickets to see him again, but at these prices, I might pass. I’m up in the air about getting Al Stewart tickets. He put on a really good show, and tapped me on the shoulder to sneak by to get back on stage. But at these prices???
For those of you who have no clue who BoDeans are, they’re from Waukesha, Wisconsin, and play good old fashioned rock. I have Joe Dirt Car on double CD, which is sort of a greatest hits.
ETA: I snagged tickets for Al Stewart, too. They weren’t as expensive as I thought. And, even if we don’t show up for the wine tasting part “served by Al Stewart himself,” ahead of the concert, we can still show up for the concert part of the evening. I doubt he’s going to take it personally if he’s unable to be our personal wine steward.
I love the BoDeans, but I tend to list more to their earlier stuff than the later stuff. I have a chance to see them several years back and it was great–it was at a local bar, and we could get out and dance and just had a great time.
