I love, love, love Woolrich. Did I say that enough?
While in Williamsburg, I bought a flannel shirt in my usual size for a loose fit, but this one turned out to be a little too clingy for my preference, when I got home and tried it on. It fit, but not loose, the way I like my flannel shirts. So, I called Woolrich customer service, didn’t lie about where I bought it, and asked if it was possible to exchange it for one size larger, since it still had the tags on it.
YES! I’m going to have to pay postage both ways for the exchange, but in the end, I will get the Pemberton shirt in the “fig” color that I want, in a loosy goosey size. Yay, Woolrich!
Oh, btw, half the blankets in my house are from Woolrich; the rest are from Hudson Bay. Both companies rock.
ETA: I got the shirt for 50% off, not that Woolrich needs to know that, or cares, but even with two-way postage for the exchange, it’s still costing me well under the regular retail price from their catalog or website. Oddly enough, the customer service rep with whom I spoke yesterday didn’t mention postage at all until I asked about it. All things considered, I think it’s fair to enclose a check for $5.95 to cover their postage cost for the exchange. I’m in no rush to get it, so I don’t really care what shipping method they use. After all, it was my mistake buying the size I did, not theirs.
I love it when I find just the right thing, whether it’s clothes, blankets or quirky shoes. I’m glad you found exactly what you wanted.

A third non-Nicky post in a row? It’s a stifling media blackout! 😉
SHHHHH! He might hear you and come back! Geez! His stink was just starting to filter out of the earth’s oxygen supply.
I received the shirt a few days ago. Yay! Why on earth I’m still wearing flannel in mid-May is a mystery.
