Some of you may already be aware of this. For those who haven’t heard, Naked Snake Press is on “hiatus.” We all know what that means. The Literary Bone went briefly on hiatus, then died altogether.
All rights for all material published by NSP has now reverted back to the original owners. Everyone is free to submit their work elsewhere. All publication (except for the ones listed above) are now considered out of print.
I’m afraid a hiatus is only a prelude to death.
We are not completely dead! NSP plans to re-open in March 2008.
Ms. Burgess claims she can’t afford to keep it running with the real estate slump. I’ve got news. By March of next year, it’ll most likely be in even worse shape than it is now. Even if it isn’t, it won’t rebound in five months. Those SC barrier islands are full of second homes for snowbirds, and people won’t be looking to buy for quite some time. Heck, even primary homes aren’t moving.
She may be better off letting it die, then when she can afford to get going again, just start a new one. NSP already has the taint of Pacione on it because of House of Spiders 3.
The Curse of the Pigman kills another one.
