Pacione put the version in which he changed to protagonist’s name to Alice Thompson on Writerscafe.org. Remember, this is the one he did about Poppy Z. Brite and Janrae Frank. The original name he used was Jane Rae Brite. I’ll bet he jerks off in granny’s basement every time he uploads that story. Maybe that’s what all the sticky stuff on his keyboard is.
I wonder if he’s seen stupid_free yet at LJ. The thread devoted to him goes on for a good three pages. Thanks, Ben! Some of those people commenting were around back in the LJ Drama days. Pacione can’t stop making enemies. People do love their Nicky wank.
I think he is getting nervous. Last time he posted the one that still has Poppy’s and my name on it.

Best Mary Sue story evah! And the only story of his I’ve ever been able to read because there is so much lulz to be mined. It is truly lulz overload. It puts me in a lulzcoma. 😆
FUCKBEATER is full of lulz, too. One of the characters snaps and goes on a rampage in a newsroom. Weapons appear from nowhere. Naturally, the character modeled off Nicky just stands around gloating while someone else does his dirty work for him. I’ve forgotten who it was about, but I remember Horrorgal did a hilarious parody of it, set in a restaurant kitchen.
Fanfic litmus test, stat!
Sorry, feeling silly today. 😀
Btw, I do believe there is artistic merit to be found in many fanfics. Just not Nickyfics.
I about laughed my ass off reading Fuckbeater and Horrorgal’s parody.
I experienced more willing suspension of disbelief when Batman arrives to save the day at the end of Horrorgal’s parody than I had at any point in Fuckbeater.
Ben Fulbright and Susan Hawkes, LOL.
It is a good day for feeling silly.
And in the spirit of sillyness, I would like to say something about my own characters.
The vampires like take out; the sa’necari like to nibble in bed; and the lycans will accept table scraps.
I don’t get to be silly in fiction. Well, hardly ever.
If anyone has a link to Horrorgal’s parody, I’d like to read that, please.
“Eggbeater” is in three parts. At least one of them is here.
I get silly when I write my Badree Nym stories, like Drakengrim, which is about a vampire and a pumpkin pie.
I like getting silly sometimes.
Sorry…I was distracted by “Blood Contender” just below the story. Igor? Stoker documented something? Is this for real? Never mind. Don’t answer that.
Okay, I’m gonna say it anyways. Blood Contender is basically Stoker fan fiction.
When he posted what he felt made the vampire unique, it matched up as identical to my sa’necari.
I pointed that out and he went apeshit on me.
I thought it was rather hilarious and took the opportunity to suggest that he was plagiarizing me. 😀
It was clear from the excerpt I saw that he had no idea about the mechanics of boxing. I never boxed, but I used to watch it with my uncles, and my grandmother boxed.
Wow…even less than Stoker fan fiction, since there was no ‘Igor’ in the novel or even the wider, Stoker-inspired universe that various modern authors have explored. I’m not sure what it is. An unimaginative amalgam of Universal monster movies, basically. I’m not surprised in the least that he ripped off concepts from your universe.
He seems to get a lot from both the classic Universal monster movies and from Saturday Morning cartoons shows.
Wasn’t Igor the assistant to Dr. Frankenstein?
It is a very abused name.
I know that Nicky reads my blogs and my website. So he could easily have snagged the concepts from me.
The stock character of ‘Igor’ was inspired by Dwight Frye’s hunchbacked character of Fritz from the original 1931 Frankenstein—but he actually appeared for the first time (billed as ‘Ygor’) in Son of Frankenstein and Ghost of Frankenstein and was played, ironically, by Bela Lugosi (whose character had a broken neck and no hunchback, actually). No such character appears in any Dracula story, or any vampire story, that I’m aware of or have ever read or watched that wasn’t a parody. He’s thinking of ‘Renfield’. And in the original novel Dracula, Renfield was more a symbol cum portent than an assistant or caretaker.
The quick links to all three parts of Eggbeater can be found here: http://www.xanga.com/Reviews_By_Horrorgal
I have to admit that I brought Batman in for a deux ex machina ending because the original story line (which I was sort fo trying to follow) got too stupid.
And, yes, Fuckbeater was hilariously bad.
Eggbeater is a fun read, especially if you have tried to wade through Fuckbeater first.
Yes, Nicky was clearly thinking of Renfield. It took me two reads of Dracula before it sank in that Renfield was Harker’s employer before he lost his mind.
It’s been a while since I read Dracula, but I believe he was portrayed as a longtime inmate in Dr. Seward’s Insane Asylum. I don’t recall his character being extended into the function of Jonathan Harker’s boss until the film adaptations (though it’s wholly possible I misremember).
I will have to go to gutenberg. I haven’t read it in over ten years now, so I may be remembering wrong. But now I’m wondering.
Ygor was created by Wyllis Cooper, who wrote the Son of Frankenstein script, but was better known as the creator of the influential radio shows “Lights Out” and “Quiet, Please!”
There’s my random bit of trivia for the day.
Hey, I wanted to say thank you. I wasn’t all that familiar with Pacione’s antics until a few days ago(the aforementioned Stupid_Free post about him), except for a quick read of the Encyclopedia Dramatica page about him; I found your blog through that page, and you’ve had me both shaking my head and laughing my ass off for a few days now. This guy is a twit who gives every subculture he touches a bad name.
Welcome, Drew. I still get a surprising number of referrals from ED, and I’m glad I could provide you with some lulz.
His biggest problem with subcultures is that every one with which he tries to identify rejects him. I don’t even think people in a mental ward want to associate with him.
Oh, you brought the lulz, alright. You brought them fresh and hot to my table.
I can see why he associates with the goth scene, as they’re generally(in my experience, anyway) way over-accepting of people and their faults. I’ve met goths/BDSMers that think it’s ok to continue to try to badger and grope a woman long after she’s told them not to and her boyfriend has gotten ready to put them through a window, and I think you’re right, they don’t even accept him.
I write, and if I ever get accepted into an anthology that has something of Pacione’s in it, I’m withdrawing the story if possible.
Wyllis Cooper is one of the great unsung cultural heroes of the 20th Century.
