Mr. Bernoudy managed to find one of the topics that involve his company, Blu Phi’er. Following, is a comment he left (#35). I welcome any further clarification he can give regarding his situation, and that of Blu Phi’er.
I find it interesting that there’s an entire website dedicated to people bad mouthing others behind their backs. 90% of what you people are yapping about is incorrect. Normally I wouldn’t even address BS like this site, but I have a little time on my hands.
First, an idiot could go to my law firm’s website and see that it’s in Marshall, Texas. Even has a Texas phone number. I’m even licensed as an attorney in Texas. Once lived in Louisiana, don’t now brain children.
My molestation of young girls and stautory rape? Don’t remember gaving a conviciton for stautory rape. Remember carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Which does not equate to any form of rape.
The “child” who was “molested” is 28 years old and I’m 31. Do the math.
What really perplexes me, is the purpose of this particular site/thread. I publish books for people who normally would never get into print. I don’t solicit authors, they come to me. I spend money out of my pocket to help others achieve their dreams.
What acomplishments do the people taking part in this thread have to show
Here we go again with the ‘what accomplishments do you have to show’ crap.
Well I can tell you what I don’t have. A bunch of pissed off writers who will never get the rights back to their work because of the nitwit holding them.
90% is incorrect? I’m sure that is an accurate assesment of discussion here, and not just a random figure pulled out of the air.
If doing something, anything to a minor doesn’t ‘equate’ to rape then not sure what does. The whole point is the predatory nature of it. But hey, glad you feel justified.
‘don’t now brain children’ – what the fuck does that mean?
If he really cared about the writers, he would have given them decent contracts with an industry standard escape clause in it.
If he had really cared about the writers, he would have promoted the books.
If he had really cared about the writers, he would have not fucked them over.
The man is a predator.
The man is a nitwit
The man has an unrequitted Oedipal complex. Which makes him a motherfucker. At least in his dreams.
Badmouthing people behind their backs?
Unless I’m much mistaken, Google has this site indexed and spiders it as regularly as any other site. No, all badmouthing is done in public.
Absolutely right, Phil — I could turn off spider access, and make this blog “signed in members only” accesible, but all entries and comments are public.
First time commenters go into a moderation queue, but once approved, bypass that for any further comments they choose to make. If they again get stuck in moderation, it’s probably because they used a different name or email address.
Occasionally, a legitimate comment will get caught by Akismet, and tossed into the spam queue. If I’m made aware that a comment disappeared, I can find it, and free it.
About the only thing I will not tolerate is a flame war among my readers. Legitimate discussion, heated or otherwise, is welcome.
Phil and I must have had the same thought at the same time. I posted the same basic thing to the other thread, hit comment and then found Phil’s comment here.
Welcome Mr. Benoudy to the Legion of Nitwits. You have not only showed yourself to be a a nitwit, but you’ve made an arse of yourself.
New rant up at cuss wp. He mentioned Rusty and posted a link to this blog on his website under the Publisher’s Corner.
LOL! That’ll drive up my traffic — not. But if it makes him feel any better, hey, I’m all for it. The man’s butthurt is showing, as bright red as a baboon’s.
Technically, The Rusty Nail isn’t dedicated to badmouthing people. TRN picks up on sketchy activity between certain/specific authors who might not be telling the truth. The same goes for publishers.
As to Blu Phi’er, if you’re not publishing books and/or holding rights and not releasing them to people after/if they’re decided not to publish with you, that DESERVES to be public knowledge. People need to know whether or not a publisher they want to submit to is sketchy or not.
I was going to say what Kody said, but Kody said it, so…..what Kody said.
Meh. Too much mowing in the sun, for me.
I’m working on my 9th book right now and all but one of my books have been available nationwide in mainstream book stores.
(Six mainstream, two small press for those keeping score.)
Does that count?
It certainly seems more legitimate than, ‘I stole all rights to several novels from padawan authors.’
If we must flash our creds, mine are limited to a passing knowledge of English, and a few trade journal articles. Research is my forté. If Mr. Bernoudy is only 31, as he claims, I’ve been out of college and working since he was in diapers.
As I’ve said elsewhere, I need not be Cezanne to know red from blue.
My response on the other thread:
Mr. Bernoudy, why does your law firm have a Shreveport number out on the web, since you don’t practice in Louisiana?
See <a href=”http://www.personallawyers.org/Louisiana/Noble_71462/Personal_Injury_Lawyers.php”here.
Even an idiot could, you know, not have an incorrect phone number for their business out in the web.
And if “carnal knowledge of a juvenile” in Louisiana isn’t the same as “statutory rape” in other jurisdictions, my apologies. From the name of the Louisiana offense, it certainly sounds the same.
Finally, I actually accomplish quite a bit in my life, between publishing and volunteering in the community. I certainly don’t buy other people’s intellectual property for peanuts and run what should be a business as though it were a Cub Scout bake sale.
Whoops, sorry bad HTML. The Shreveport listing is here.
It’s a bunch of other places, too, like here.
As long as Mr. Bernoudy’s scouring the Internet for references to himself, perhaps he should be getting outdated listings removed as well?
He blatantly says that his authors would have never gotten published anywhere else, other than self publishing, without him then whines about how he’s entitled to be paid back for that. The new addition read “me me me I want money I deserve money. The writers never would have gotten published so they totally owe me lots of money nyah!”
Yup, totally the attitude I want from my publisher. Where’s that douchebag smiley?
And adding to Rusty’s point, most of the people who read/actively discuss in TRN are published, known authors in the small press. I may not be bigtime, but I must be a fairly interesting person if I got over 10,000 views on a messageboard in a year. *Shrug*
Takethe in out before TRN; that’s a typo. -_-
Oh, and BTW; my website has all my credentials if anyone wants them. 😛
